How do I obtain my prescription?
Your eye care practitioner is required under law to give you a clear,
legible copy of your prescription following your eye test. You are NOT
required to purchase your eyewear from the provider of your eye test. We
are sorry due to privacy issues we cannot contact your Doctor directly
to obtain your prescription.

Yes absolutely. We use highly secure servers and payment processors for
all payments. Should you feel uncomfortable paying online please call
our office directly (contact us) and we will be
glad to assist you with your order and payment.
What type of lenses do you use? We use lightweight CR39 plastic lenses for most of our glasses.
For our 'thin' lenses, we use polycarbonate high index lenses. We do not
provide glass lenses.
Do you sell prescription sunglasses and other tinted lenses? Sure. We have a variety of colors of tints or glasses can be made
with the "transition" photosensitive feature. This type of lens is clear
in normal lighting conditions, but tints itself under sunlight and
includes a 100% UV filter. These options can be specified when ordering.
How long before I get my glasses? Glasses are sent via first class Mail. You do not have to be at
home to receive your glasses. Delivery is usually within 14 working
days, subject to the complexity of the prescription and coatings.
Can I use my contact lens prescription for ordering glasses? No, your contact lens and eyeglasses prescriptions usually have
differences. You must have your eyes tested and a prescription issued
for use with eyeglasses which is less than 5 years old.
What is my Pupillary distance (PD), and how do I obtain it? PD is the distance from the centre of the pupil (black spot) in
one eye to the center of the pupil in the other eye. This measurement
improves the positioning of your lenses within the frame you have
chosen. It can be provided in minutes by your optician or doctor, and so
we recommend that you ask for it when you have your eyes tested, or you
may use our self measurement tool (here).
The short video below will show you how to measure your own PD.
What if I entered some information wrong? Immediately call or send an email alerting us, because we process
orders very rapidly. For this reason we ask you to please double-check
your prescription and shipping information prior to submitting your
order. Once you've placed your order you are given the option of
printing it off, we recommend you do this for future reference.
What is this 100% guarantee? We offer you a 14-day, money-back guarantee. Should you decide
that your new glasses aren't right for you, we'll give you a refund or
exchange them for another pair of the same value. Click (here) for
full details and procedures for returns.

plans. However you may submit your invoice to your insurance company for
possible reimbursement.

order form for us to read the prescription from them. We will return
your glasses to you following taking a reading from them.
Can you put lenses in my existing frames? Yes we can. However we cannot be responsible for patient supplied
frames. Due to the age and prior use of patients own frames there is a
high incidence of breakage. Just print out our order form (here)
package your frame carefully and send it to us postage paid
here. We can even mount lenses in specialty
frames (inserts, sports goggles etc.). Click (here)
for more details and information.
Can I inspect the frames before purchase? Sure – just order a frame only – you will be credited the full
cost of the frame (less shipping) when you return the frame to us with
your prescription order..
What do the Frame Measurements mean? The easiest way to get the right frame size is to get the
dimensions from a comfortable pair of glasses you already have.
The Lens Height is a matter of choice, but the
other two determine the fit.
They do not need to be exact, but the closer they
are to your existing pair, the more likely your new glasses are to be a
comfortable fit.
The following guidelines may help in your frame
selection.
